The anticipation surrounding The Game Awards has been intense, notably after presenter Geoff Keighley posted a mysterious image of a strange statue. The secret is finally answered. Larian Studios is developing a fresh Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was showcased with a bold trailer packed with striking imagery, from a figure engulfed in flames to an orgy and the very unleashing of hell.

For those anticipating Divinity Original Sin 3, that is not happening. Larian clarified that a follow-up to its critically acclaimed RPGs is not being worked on now.
That said, the developer referred to this new Divinity as a continuation of the core franchise. This choice of words hints that the team could be building a faster-paced experience rather than another turn-based title. Currently, it remains theory, as only a cinematic trailer is available.
