'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the maiden major achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he earlier was, and would seriously think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
